How do I associate a commit to a Story?

For smaller Stories like hot fixes, you can associate an individual commit with the Story.

Use bracketed text  [ch###], where “###” is the Story ID, anywhere within the commit message.

You can also add this to the initial commit message in your supported VCS (Bitbucket, GitLab, and GitHub).

Note: Adding a comment to the commit after it has been created will not associate the Story.

You can associate multiple Stories to the same commit with multiple bracketed Story numbers.

git commit -m "Fixing this [ch123][ch234][ch345]"
